In 2013 now ASB alumni Bar Stern set out the idea to retired MUN director Joe Maas about creating a model united nations conference in Barcelona. It was thanks to their initiative that made BCNMUN a reality. The first BCNMUN was held in the HCC Montblanc Hotel in the center of Barcelona.The conference was from November 28th to 30th and counted with the participation of 235 delegates from 17 different schools.
